Sorry, should have been more clear. I would like to duplicate the Portland bowl, but also for use as a functioning back yard swimming pool. I am wondering about the maintenance? thanks

Portland Maine has a mellow kidney at their public park. Needs pool coping. Could it function as a swimming pool? How do people prep a bowl like this for use as a pool after ripping it 9 months out of the year?

I'd have to say that this park is super fun and flows very well to be a plaza. You can skate specific pieces of the park, or get good lines going. A huge thanks to everyone at Artisan for their help and positive outlook towards our park and our goal. Still going strong, and a really RAD park! Come skate and hang out. Its a good time!

I'm currently trying out a few products at work. I've been patching holes in the floor and have come up with something by custom building products called "skim coat and patch". Of all the products I've tried this one seems to wk the best. It's quick drying and will withstand the weight of a forklift so I think it's strong enough. It has to be used in 50degree or above weather to fully cure so I will make this happen spring 2012. -Den

This website is amazing. I am from West Virginia and am touring the country looking at skateparks. I started in Las Vegas, which has over 20 parks, then skated a little in L.A. and San Francisco. I have a blog for my cause, skateinthesun.blogspot.com and want to build a park in Davis, West Virginia. My dad runs White Grass Ski Touring Center in Canaan Valley, so I grew up ripping turns skiing and snowboarding. We do not have much terrain to skate there, so I wish to do something for my community. I got to skate the Front Royal park before i left, and can safely say that it is just as good as any I've seen out here.

The park is looking great. The progress has been no slouch and you all have been on the ball since the summer. I am just glad that I will have a quality skatepark to go to in my hometown. Keep up the good work and I hope to see it looking just as good as the rest of the parks you have built when it is done!
